End worker assignment in Workday

In Eastridge Cloud when an assignment is ended, the following are set: end reason, end notes, actual end date. We recommend using the 'assignment ended' webhook to trigger the sync of changes to Workday.

The available end reasons are:

  • Performance
  • Attendance
  • Resignation
  • Completed Assignment
  • Did Not Show Up
  • COVID-19 Layoff
  • Conversion

These end reasons can be mapped to the end reasons you have set up within Workday.

When syncing the data, be sure to capture the actual end date, instead of the tentative end date. The tentative end is only updated when creating new assignments, or extending an assignment. The actual end date field will remain blank until the user ends an assignment. Assignments can be ended in the past, present, or future.

For conversions, typically a customer's integration will look for any assignments where end reason = conversion, and will trigger a different workflow.
